I need help!!!!! (rear driver side door wont open at all & its not the actuator)

Hey guys, I don't know if this ever happen to anyone here.
My rear driver side door won't open from either the outside or the inside of the car and it's not the actuator, my friend and I think it's the cable inside there, but how do we get access if it won't open at all. I have a car seat for my daughter on that side too so it's really annoying for me and my warranty is expired.

any input would be appreciated. thanks guys
 
I had somewhat of the same issue once...ended up being the child safety lock was in b/w lock and free. This caused me to be unable to open the door from the inside and outside. I used tape to keep it set to open. No issue since.

Your going to have to pop the door panel off. It's going to be hard considering the door is closed and the seat will get in the way. There are 3 screws to get out, 2 behind the silver finisher and one behind the door handle. Pull out and up to get it off so you now have access to the door lock( hard to get to but it can be done)
 
I think I took out the bottom of the rear seat. The rear seat has 2 latches where the carpet and the seat come together. You have to pry it up to see what I'm talking about...taking the rear seat out should give you enough room to get the panel out.

I got the panel out but still no luck, cable is working fine and it's not the child lock either. I was able to squeeze in to play around with it (on and off) but sitll, I just don't know what it is, the door is just stuck :mad.:

On the other hand while the bottom seat was out, I was able to do the DIY for the gas gauge level that la_fx35 posted, at least I did something progressive :smile (2): and that's 1 problem out of the equation.
