I have a 2007 Yamaha ttr90 dirt bike I'm selling and I have a guy that wants to trade a camera plus boot for the bike. I don't know how much boot to ask for and don't know if the camera is worth having and if it will do what I need it too. My daughter rides horses and is a competitive Eventer, so I need a camera that takes pics in motion as she jumps and such, I also need something that will reach out to long distances. The camera in question is as follows with the following equipment:

Canon Rebel T3 EOS 1100d
EFS 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS ll
EFS 18-55mm
tripod
case
software, cleaning kit ect.
Oh yeah, he said its less than 6 months old and has taken less than 1000 pictures with it.

Im asking 1000.00 for the bike, what do you photo guys think?

That camera and goodies was popular as a kit about 1.5-2 years ago and had a retail price around $1000. He may have gotten it 6 months ago but the price would have been much lower since the T4's were out then.
Canon released the T3 and T3i together. The T3i has image stabilization so that is likely important to you for action shots. This T3 kit does have the 250 zoom lens kit so that is convenient. Nothing super stellar about the camera or lens - all basic kit stuff, but still pretty good.
About 1.5-2 years ago, I bought the T3i kit without the 250 zoom lens for around $750 I think. Camera works great.

You can buy this camera now for $300 with EFS 18-55mm lens, plus $115 for EFS 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS ll lens, another $50 for a tripod and case. You can buy a cleaning kit for $5, so the total value for this package is $470.

Good plan, cause even for the basics of what you want to do there are better camera's available for you at the $500 price range if you are willing to go used...
