Thanks for the help sexchoco. I appreciate it!

First dealer didn't even want to touch the transmission fluid, but the other says it's recommended. I will call Infiniti customer service to confirm though. The second dealer is just being kind of weird about it though cause they only will do a flush and not just a simple drain/refill. I'm getting a good deal on it anyways, so I can't complain.

I agree with Sobi6111, dealers/stealers are not really out for your best interest. If it appears that they are it is only because it benefits them more than it does you... Think about it...

Lifetime means the lifetime of the vehicle at the end of the lifetime they hope that you have loved the car
So much that you will buy another, they are in the business of selling cars tomnew and repeat customers... So how do that win if your car does not break down when they hunk it should,,, they gain nothing. All fluids
Breakdown after a while, and its obviously more advantageous to have fresh new oil than used oil, so with his reason having a new oil which is better for the car means changing it everytime we drive. But this is not effective, hence the intervals.so the logic is if the tranny oil is good for the lifetime of the car, which is the warranty period, not how Long you own it, the oil would have lost its effectiveness by the expiration of the warranty then you could shortly be in the market for a
New car..... Mission accomplished. If you plan on keeping your car I suggest that you give it new life before the expiration.... Change the tranny oil and it will last longer. By the time you need work on the tranny the warranty would have expired so why make it worse by worrying about voiding the warranty on the tranny. It a money stealing gimmick. Before my 05 45 was wrecked, I had 133k miles on it and I had changed the tranny oils three times..... I am not sorry I did.

a drain and fill isn't a pita to do but if someone could measure the exact amount of oil that's collected upon draining, that would really help the rest of us.
