The car was tuned by Adam @ Revolutions Performance in Colorado Springs, at 6000 ft above sea level. A most excellent map was created by him for my beastie & Cobb Tuning AccessPort.
My car, a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT, has a GT3076r with .82 a/r hot side, blow through OEM maf, modded stock 550cc injectors which now flow 816cc, FMIC, 91 octane, hallman MBC.
Some pictures of my buildup can be seen here. I took a week off from work to do the work, and my 18 yr old son and I broke out the tools. For some reason the pictures got out of order as I've added pix to the page & regenerated the index, but you'll get the general idea.
On the Revolutions "Dyno Dynamics" rig, stock legacy gt's make 170 awhp.
At 10psi the car made 319 awhp
, and at 18psi we settled in on 362 awhp and 360 tq. The car made 367 at 18psi, but some timing was pulled on the big end and it's very happy. Correction factor was 1.18 - Adam cut it in half from the 1.37 it "should" have been. With the correction factor at 1.37 it made 440-ish awhp.
Don't know what the uncorrected is - probably 310 or so.
At 18psi the injector duty cycle is 78%.
Boost came on a bit later than I'd hoped. At 4k rpm it really wakes up. And we noticed that my tial bov is open at idle - need a new spring pronto, as it's affecting idle.
All in all I'm pretty happy. As long as I can stay away from launching the car the stock clutch just may hold up for a bit. Maybe....
The airflow was right at 364 grams/sec, timing was at 15 degrees at peak torque and 18 degrees at redline. Injector duty cycle is sitting right at 78%.
Dyno charts: 10 psi, 316 awhp - 316 awhp, 317 torque - 18 psi, 362 awhp - 362 awhp, 359 torque
Overall it's a blast to drive. Once it hits 4k rpm redline comes up pretty quickly. And John is happy. Very. :top:
And I guess the project is now the daily driver.
