I got my project car tuned yesterday

The car was tuned by Adam @ Revolutions Performance in Colorado Springs, at 6000 ft above sea level. A most excellent map was created by him for my beastie & Cobb Tuning AccessPort.

My car, a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT, has a GT3076r with .82 a/r hot side, blow through OEM maf, modded stock 550cc injectors which now flow 816cc, FMIC, 91 octane, hallman MBC.

Some pictures of my buildup can be seen here. I took a week off from work to do the work, and my 18 yr old son and I broke out the tools. For some reason the pictures got out of order as I've added pix to the page & regenerated the index, but you'll get the general idea.

On the Revolutions "Dyno Dynamics" rig, stock legacy gt's make 170 awhp.

At 10psi the car made 319 awhp , and at 18psi we settled in on 362 awhp and 360 tq. The car made 367 at 18psi, but some timing was pulled on the big end and it's very happy. Correction factor was 1.18 - Adam cut it in half from the 1.37 it "should" have been. With the correction factor at 1.37 it made 440-ish awhp. Don't know what the uncorrected is - probably 310 or so.

At 18psi the injector duty cycle is 78%.

Boost came on a bit later than I'd hoped. At 4k rpm it really wakes up. And we noticed that my tial bov is open at idle - need a new spring pronto, as it's affecting idle.

All in all I'm pretty happy. As long as I can stay away from launching the car the stock clutch just may hold up for a bit. Maybe....

The airflow was right at 364 grams/sec, timing was at 15 degrees at peak torque and 18 degrees at redline. Injector duty cycle is sitting right at 78%.

Dyno charts: 10 psi, 316 awhp - 316 awhp, 317 torque - 18 psi, 362 awhp - 362 awhp, 359 torque

Overall it's a blast to drive. Once it hits 4k rpm redline comes up pretty quickly. And John is happy. Very. :top:

And I guess the project is now the daily driver.

Very nice,

I had my wrx wagon protuned with my Cobb AP also with a vf39(tiny snail) upgrade on my 2007.. and at a conservative tune he got it to 277whp 308ft/lbs of torque. I was about to go meth and get a retune but didn't want to risk ruining my trans. I can only imagine how your car feels...that's some good power.:top:

i like the legacys... its nice to see non-wrxs getting some love... even though the wrx wagon was my backup if i couldnt find a 26k$ fx

This is one of the few legacy sedans i've seen modded. I like the sublety, and the output you've put into the build. Great job john!:top:

I'm gona show this to an ex co-worker who has one.
It's amazing that everything fit under the hood as it looks like you've run out of room.

Got an e85 tune done on the beastie as well. At 16psi the car made 394 awhp and 395 foot/lbs, but we ran out of injector. Backed off to 10psi and it's now making 347 awhp and 357 foot/lbs.

Here are the e85 dyno charts.. :)
