I just bought a loaded pre owned '04 FX 45 w/ 52,xxx mi, white in color with a perfect maintenance history and my wife and I love it. We just can't get over the nice stock exh. tone and the v8 power.

The FX had it's 60k maintenance done including new tires among other expensive things. We paid 24,999 at infiniti of kirkland @ 10.2 sales tax yikes!..

Anyways I'm happy to be here and am interested in some future upgrades and add-ons such as exhaust, tint, rims, tow hitch etc. I just ordered up my Thule snowcat 5401 racks and can't wait to climb the pass and do some snowboardin.

Finally, does anyone tow any pleasure boats around with their 35/45's? I'll run a search I just figured this would be a good way to spark up some convo on my newby thread :).

I'm glad I found :iS: !

Welcome to iS! With the proper precautions, you should be able to tow a good sized boat. One guy with a 35 towed his Miata and also a boat, so the 45 should be even better.

At the same time? That's impressive :)

Welcome to the forum, another member to add to the NWFX! As Stu said towing shouldn't be a problem unless you get over 50'. Over 50' you will need to remove your back seats and spare tire to maximize your pulling power........

Congrats on the new Ride.

Welcome to the Scene...

Mod on. Make sure to post some pics when you get your post count up.

Just got rid of my 06 FX35 AWD. Towed a 17 foot aluminum boat with a 60hp outboard motor all the time. Mostly near home, but occasionally 200 mile trips. Forgot the thing was back there, except for the mileage, which would dip into the low teens. Got a hitch on my new 2010, but towing capacity is lower on new one from 3500 to 2000 lbs. FX 50 is still 3500...what gives? 7 speed tranny?

Enjoy towing and playing in the snow.

Possibly the way the hitch is mounted?

To the thread starter: Welcome aboard the board!

I'll definitely post some pics soon. haven't had much time to navigate the iS.. i've probably burned 400 bucks in gas this week picking up my snowcat 5401 racks and getting a tune on my snowboard along with the typical weekly monotony.
