I am a bit worried in driving the FX in chi town..
I can't seem to find my front licence plate.. Here in Cali I don't mind getting a fix it ticket... Just worried about driving it out there..
Is the illi highway patrol or chi pd a stickler for not having the from license plate...?

I don't have one either and drive in Chicago many times a year. I think you are ok if you are out of state.
I wouldn't worry about it.. just tell them you're from cali and that front plates are not needed there. Chi cops don't care about plates, it's the suburban mofos that are so bored that will pull you over for whatever reason.
Ok... scoped out some spots this a.m. for pics.. considered the amount of cars we will have and the requested urban Chicago feel with the view.. Shot with a phone and got rained out so imagine it brighter w/o the hazy clouds.. Suggestions for other places are welcomed.
I included my car so you can get a better idea; I just parked it and didn't consider the shot at all...
I like this spot for the view and the space.. can accommodate 10 cars and the lighting in the am should be good.
This is the 2nd spot that can accomodate a group... it's a side street that's dead in the am..
The following pics are best for 1-3 cars... ie if Bert wants to take solo shots..
Imagine the car facing the other way.
This last set was my ideal location for Bert's car... drive it right in front of the mural.. But as you can see, they have put up a new gate to block access :mad.: I am beyond pissed..
Other locations to be considered are the parking lot in McCormick's place (backdrop is the bears stadium and skyline) or the same location in the harbor during the last meet. I'll try to get a pic of the former soon..

I think those spots look good. Are there any lake view spots? Navy Pier? The big chrome bean would be cool if it was practical.
I really don't feel like getting arrested...
But we can also roll to the lake and take some shots... rolling shots on lake shore drive will be amazing.

Ed was gracious enough to take some time off with his family to take delivery of my FX.. Many thanks on my part...really appreciate it..
Here is the pic he sent me when it arrived at his home... Can't beat door tomdoor service from this delivery company.. If anyone is ever interested in transporting their vehicle in the US let me know..

Car arrived safely for it's Midwest Throne Tour.
Car was out in the elements on the trip here and I wanted to go to my local hand car wash, but I was scared enough driving it into my garage, let alone half a mile to the car wash.
