Car is still in the shop. Ha, new target date is now next week... At least it'll be done for Humberto to break-in. Not sure if UniChip will send me their re-flashed chip back in time. We'll see.

Have a new exhaust mod too, but not sure if I have time.

Yeah Ched, having that third row helps. Much softer ride than my FX but handling is was better because of the SH AWD. It's pretty fast too on sport mode, I was amazed how responsive it was on manual mode, not as responsive as the FX though. Man I miss my old ride.
 
Still any thoughts for the Sunday?

Don't want to plan too much so we can just play it by ear, but still want some a few concrete activities (i.e. photoshoot, dinner location, etc...).

I'm getting killed at work and in the middle of a move so any help would be appreciated=)
 
If you want I can scout out 1 or two locations for some photos... I'll pm you some candidates in the next few days.

I've got a great place in mind for a big group for lunch, but it's in Pilsen and I would be afraid for our cars as parking is tight, We never take the Fx there.. If you still want bbq at your place then I'm cool with that.

Dinner...Maybe closer to the burbs so we can take our cars? Hopefully some outdoor seating/patio.

Sorry guys, my GF is throwing a fit if I don't go with her to this wedding, I'm out. So very, very pissed!

Well just confirmed with the transport company.

The Fx will be picked up and delivered to Ed's place on the 15th.

I hope the new mods are done by then. Body shop is working on here all this weekend.. new interior, new front end, and new front suspension.... Ughg...

Wow, can't wait to see the Stealth in person. I heard you're carrying cargo for Ed. It gonna be one fun meet. Looking forward to it too.

As for plan for the meet. Photo shoot bright and early, not sure if there any objections to Dim Sum at Phoenix. I'm up for that if no objections with Dim Sum for breakfast, then we head out to Ed. BBQ at Ed for lunch? No objection here. Ian suggested to find a place with outdoor seating for dinner in the suburbs sounds great. I was thinking Joe's Crab Shack or Ram Restaurant & Brewery out by Schaumburg. I'm pretty sure they have outdoor seating.

APB out for an Asian guy with a Dobermann seen driving away with the stealth Fx from Ed's house with SLR in hand.. Note left behind stating the car will be back by the "meet".. Suspect is known to associate with Infiniti fanatics over dim sum in chinatown.. Approach with caution...
 
So anyone have any idea when the Stealth will arrives? I might camp out at Ed's to get a first look.

Okay, here are the proposed plans so far:
1) Morning photoshoot at 8 AM CDT, somewhere in Chicago picked by Ian. I want to ensure we get the "Chicago" feel from the photos if you can make that happen Ian.

2) Breakfast at Phoenix for Dim Sum (Chinese food), probably around 10 AM.

3) Hang out at my place afterwards and BBQ. Either in Chicago or suburbs. Suburbs is swarming with mosquitoes so might be eaten alive, even during the day time. Too much rain in the last few weeks.

4) Drive out to suburbs for another photoshoot with the sun setting, should be some nice photos. Then dinner in suburbs with easy parking for 10+ FXers. I say nothing expensive and fancy for dinner.

5) Drive back to the city for those who want to grab a drink downtown at some nice rooftops?

I'll be scouting locations this week.. I'll look for places that can accommodate a lot of cars, but I think some of the best shots might be renegade where Bert stops in the street and jump out and take pics.

Ed, plan sounds good. I'm in all the way. With 10+ FXes, we can make those impossible Michigan Ave and Bridge shoots..... we kinda held traffic for a minute or so for Bert and Stealth to ride ahead with a photographer. I'm recruiting my brother in-law to ride with me on the day. He's a fairly decent photographer himself.

I guess Stealth and the cargo it carrying are what you're interested for now! :wink:
