Good evening ISers,

I am fairly new to this website and I have to say it is absolutely fantastic. Thank you all in advance for sharing your knowledge. Certainly I enjoy forums that does not make people feel stupid for raising a question. This forum is great!

Maybe this has been answered before. I have a 2010 FX35 trying to sync with my HTC MyTouch 4G phone with my bluetooth. It allows me to connect with no issues. However, it disconnects immediately after it's synced. It doesn't allow me to reconnect afterwards.

I saw someone had the same issue with their Verizon iPhone. Is that a known issue with this particular handset?

Thank you for your time.

I have the HTC inspire 4g, connects without problem and dont have issue as u said. The only thing is it cants transfer all my contact from phone to car. Can just do 1 at a time.
Should definitely get it looked at cause the bluetooth on the car operates really well and simple

I have the same problem with the MyTouch4G and my VW Tiguan. The only difference is that it used to work just fine. I was able to make and receive phone calls via hands free and voice command and was able to stream bluetooth audio from the phone to the stereo. I have searched other forums with limited success on fixing this problem. However, I recently read that the problem lies in how the phone transfers your address book to the car. This is why the phone/car may read as paired but not connected or it may connect and then immediately disconnect. The theory behind the work-around is simple, though I have had limited success with this method. You need to go through ALL of your contacts and make sure each contact has an 11 digit phone number (1+area code+phone number) even for local numbers. If you have even one contact that does not use this format the phone will not be able to transfer the phone book to your vehicle. I tried this last night and was able to get my phone to read the phone book and make calls from the vehicle, however it would not stream audio. Give this a try since it's an easy fix depending on how many contacts you have. I think part of the problem may also lie in the way the MyTouch 4G links contacts together. Hopefully this will all be fixed when Honeycomb is released. Hope this helps.
