How to transfer all contacts from BB9000 to fx35 09

I can't find an option to transfer all my contacts, in one go, from my blackberry9000 to my '09 fx35 over bluetooth. I can only transfer contacts individually. I am having the same problem with my iphone 3g as well. Please help.

The contacts are stored on your phone and transmitted over bluetooth to your car, I don't think you can store the contacts in the fx's memory.

It gets annoying to have to check my phone to see who is calling since the screen only displays the number and not the name. Wish there was a way to fix that problem.

Quick bump to see if anyone has been able to transfer contacts from Iphone or otherwise via bluetooth. I revisited this issue recently because we recently purchased another vehicle (same model year as my FX - 2009) and the process to do this was absolutely seamless and quite honestly very convenient. In this vehicle (Q7), when the phone is connected via bluetooth, all phonebook entries are available for display both in the Driver Information Screen AND the MMI/Navigation screen. Pretty slick.
The FX looks like it has provisions for this but the transfer seem to be the issue.

Thanks in advance.

I've been trying to download all my contacts from my iPhone 4 to the phonebook on the navigation menu and it never works. It gets to the part where it says downloading contacts then it stops.

Somehow my son was able to transfer all my contacts via Bluetooth from my Blackberry 8320 to my FX50S but they showed up in a screen listing A-C, D-F, G-I, etc. From there I select one (I.E. A-C) and it lists all the A thru C contacts. From there I select one of the contacts and it puts it into my cars phone book? Dont ask me how he did it but it happened. If anyone know how this happens let me know too!

Good to know that this may be possible. Thanks. I will keep trying but it really shouldn't be this hard.

Okay guys I just went out to the car and did it and it's very easy. I have an android phone so your mileage may vary.

First, turn on your car and make sure that your phone is connected to to the car via bluetooth.

second, hit 'Settings', then 'Phone', and then you'll see an option called 'Download Phonebook'.

So you hit 'download phonebook' and get to the screen where it says something along the lines of "Transfer contacts from your phone. PIN is 1234"

This is where you go to your phone's contacts menu and hit "export contacts via bluetooth." The car does not automatically download the contacts from your phone, you actually have to go to your phone's settings and manually hit export via bluetooth or however it is listed on your phone.

After that, a status bar should pop up for a couple minutes as your contacts transfer, and you are good to go!!!

i have a 2011 fx35 btw.

Thanks Superwario. I think you helped drill down on what the issue is. I have an '09 50S and it looks like the bluetooth implementation wasn't exactly complete so they did not support bluetooth transfer on most phones. I know that bluetooth streaming was introduced in 2010 but this issue is not related to that.
Looking at this link, http://www.infinitiusa.com/bluetooth/, the 2010 FX has phone book compatibility. (Use the wizard to select your setup and phone and then click the phone and it shows you what the bluetooth connectivity can do with that phone)

hmmm... i typed in my phone, a samsung nexus s, and it says the phonebook download works on an 09 fx as well. What model phone do you have?

IPhone 4. In some Infiniti documentations, it says that Apple does not support Bluetooth transfer which is not exactly true since I set it up on my wife's car and another auto in literally 2 minutes. Perhaps an Apple/Infiniti bluetooth compatibility issue?

The words apple and compatability don't really belong together.. Maybe when apple makes their own car :-)
