How to remove the bulb under the steering

Hey guys i was trying to remove the bulb right where the pedals are under the steering wheel and i just can seem to get it to come out i was wondering if there is a specific way to take it out because i just dont want to pull it to hard and break the bulb or something.

any help is appreciated thanks
 
lmao yeah the bulb is a pain in the azz to pull out. What you have to use is a pair of pliers with electrical tape wrapped around the tips to get a hold of the bulb then pull it. Just don't squeeze the bulb or you will crack it. Just get a hold of it lightly enough to be able to pull on it. The reason why it's having a hard time coming out is cause the bulb is a tight fit in the socket. When pulling it out, wiggle it around a little while pulling it. I had a hard time too, but the pliers works easily.

Got it =) I yanked one of those little bastards out one time and it was a challenge, I couldn't remember how I got it out just that it was difficult. Felt for sure it was going to break, I remember now thinking what a goofy set up it was and why didn't they use a simple push and pull spring socket......
