How to remove headlight dust cover?

Hi,

I want to change the HID (Xenon) bulbs in my 2011 FX50. The first step would be to remove dust covers on the back of the headlamp. However I can only turn about 1/2 inch or so, and then nothing happens, the cover won’t come off or fall off. I thing I know what the cover is, it’s circular shaped and the diameter is about 3 or 4 inches.

Anybody got a video or a description how to do it?
 
I found that already, but unfortunately the video shows nothing about removing the dust cap from the headlight :( but thanks!
 
after using a hairdryer to warm up the dust caps (about 25 F here), both came off. thanks!

(also had to use the same method to put back)
