1. Adjust your seat back all the way forward (up against the steering wheel) and the entire seat to the middle (roughly) of it's travel. Then move the steering wheel up and forward as far as it will go. That's the best way I found to get the seat out of the drivers door opening.
2. Remove the 4 bolts you mentioned under the plastic covers @ each corner.
3. Unplug the harness connecting the seat to your wiring harness. You can reach it fairly easily from the front, or really easily by removing the mounting bolts and leaning the seat assembly back a bit.
4. Carefully pull it out.
The seat is surprisingly heavy and really awkward, so take your time and plan on a couple steps.I found it easier to turn mine around backwards before pulling it out of the door. Be especially mindful of the bottom rails, as they will scratch any piece of plastic they touch.
Side note: If you turn the key on with the seat removed, your airbag light will come on (there is an airbag in the side of the seat). It's no big deal though, and will turn itself off after a couple days.
