I may top off with some wax at that point for a deeper look
I have some FK1 Pink Wax from a sampler kit that I'm gonna throw on

That's quite a bit of mixing, but they should bond fine. This stuff also takes a few days to cure, & gets slicker & shinier as it does. but you can do multiple coats pretty much right away. Ya just dont want to wash your car till it all cures
I put a whole layer of wax on, but everywhere this time. I'm ready for tomorrow, glass and wheels done, too. Even did the lower plastics. Dave, I have a box just like that, but far less organized, full of all my stuff. Sits next to my jack stands and tool kit. I'll have pics tomorrow in the sun, but it looked really good tonight.
I've found The Mothers syn wax spray is super easy. Goes on really thin, which is the trick to good layering. All this effort has actually been very easy, cuz the car has only been outa the garage once all week. It stays clean, so laying down a coat of stuff, spending 10 minutes a day is really not that big a deal. So far I've got 2 layers FK1 2180 (SUPER DURABLE STUFF), 2 layers Z2 Pro, 4 layers or SynWax. It should be good for 1 year plus with all those coats. I still need to get to all the plastics, & the wheels are are clean enough for me . . just need to shine the tires
What do you recommend that I can get locally? Like I said, I hate waiting for stuff. I guess it's because when I decide I want to clean, I want to do it then. I think I remember MTB FX used Klasse AIO I think it was, and that looked great, if that's local.
Like I keep saying, the Mothers stuff is really good. No nonsense, & everything they make pretty much does what it says. Avail at all the autozone, Kragens, or whatever you have out there.I also heard that Duragloss products are cheap & very good if you can find it locally http://www.duragloss.com/catalog.asp?catid=89
What should I do along the lines of the Z-2, or something similar? I have waxes and liquid spray, but I guess I need something like you said that was easier to put on and provides better looks and protection.
All the synthetic sealants should be applied super thin. You end up with just a thin haze when it dries, & it should wipe off with minimal effort. It will bond even if it looks real thin. Wax is great, & looks to kill, yet has very little durability. FK1 on the other hand is rated for a year of protection
Becareful w/ the cleaner/wax. Works well, but It takes off coat, so shouldnt be used on a regular basis. I heard The Reflections line is supposed to rock. I have yet to try it though, but want to.
They didn't have the top coat, but I did get the sealer and glaze. It should be good, and fit in well between clay bar and waxing. Once my hood cools off, I'm gonna do a half and half comparison.
