How to fix a tech package chirp issue

My fx with tech package stopped chirping even though I had it set to do so in the system.

Not sure what happened, just stopped and though maybe the wiring for my aftermarket alarm or something I screwed up.

It feels like the car is in valet mode. Anyone know what this is?

Anyway the fix I found was to hold the lock and unlock button.

Instantly the horn and chirp work...

hey ched ok i suffer from the same issue
but i just got my car so i thought it was broken.....

YEA~~~~~ my alarm chirp(act horn) works!!!.... but chirp does not although
when i leave the car with the key while ign on it chirps like a bird....
any idea? lol but thnx Chedman13

Haha sweet, turn on your car, don't drive and go to system controls. Looks for all the chirp/ honk stuff or just reset it to default, last option.

Had the same problem after replace new computer. I hold down lock/unlock at the same time til car light flash, it should should reset to fact. setting.
