No issues here after opening it. I'll admit though it's hard to open but I didn't use a stick to hold it open like Turbo suggested. I just used my index fingers to keep the flap open long enough to get inside.
Can a mod fix what Ian modified on my diy I made. I didnt even realize it was changed. You do not need to disconnect the the neg battery cable to clean the butterfly valve manually. You can actually leave it plugged up and clean it. Disconnecting the battery wouldn't even help anyways. All it does is make you lose memory and radio presets which is just plain annoying.
The battery has no effect on if the ses light will come on or not when manually cleaning it. All you do is just be gentle opening it
I was pretty aggressive with the throttle bodies holding the butterfly valve open with my fingers several times cleaning the butterfly valve edges too that were very dirty. I was just very careful when closing it and all worked beautifully.
