Turns out that the CV joint axle I purchase from Autozone were not "to spec" to oem. I did use a box wrench with no success. I decided I am just going to buy a boot kit and rebuild the axle.

Does anyone have any feedback on whether cv axles should be replaced only with oem? If aftermarket are acceptable, does anyone have a brand recommendation based on experience? Thank you in advance!
