hi there i was able to pull cover and ballast, is there a clip or pin holding the lightbullb on to the casing, if so how to remove it?

Thanks ivan

Yes. There is a pinch type holder there (have no clue what it is called). You should be able to feel it. Just pinch it got ether and unclick it. Hard to explain, maybe someone has pics

Can't adjust the up and down projection of the beam? Are you using a hex wrench in the white plastic dial?

I would check to make sure all connectors are plug in. There is one specifically for leveling motor.

Everything work except it won't go up and down when I use the dial. Is it possible that the body shop install wrong headlamps. 2010 fx35 body install this headlamp 260251ca0c

Is all 09-13 fx35 come with leveling motor on the headlamp?

Sure all 09 - current FX comes wth leveling/aiming motor. Some 2nd Gen comes with AFS (Adaptive Front-Lighting System). I would take a quick peek to see if all connectors are plug in. The aiming motor connector kinda tuck away deep toward the radiator.

I'm not understanding this chart.
So the FX should be 10m from the wall, but how tall from the ground should the left and right beam be?

So 'H' is your height from the ground to the headlight it looks like, and your beam should fall from H-17mm (.67 in) at the high point and H-43mm (1.69 in) at the low point. I think the confusing part is that they don't give you H, but that's because it differs from car to car I'm guessing.

Not sure if they say anything about right vs. left, as the top right box seems to be saying where you need to measure the height. Sounds like though you need to measure on the right side when facing the screen, which would be a bit higher. I think both headlights have that slight rise from left to right so that they don't blind oncoming drivers as much.

Wait.. shouldn't '0' be at height H
Then from 1-3 are those 3 cut off lines?

and yeah, I can now see why they use the letter H for height.
Since the height of the headlight from the ground will vary, by rims, tires, springs, etc.

0 is what you set it at, 1-3 are arbitrary and just to be used if you're carrying heavier stuff in the rear and need to lower the light a bit.

The cut off line represents your setting at 0, which can be anywhere between those other two lines. My thinking is set it high as possible, and you can always bring it down with the knob if needed. I usually have mine at 2 or 3 for normal driving, and 1 or 0 if I'm on a less populated road but want to see farther without using high beams.

I just realized I set mine in the middle of a road trip, so my settings are off anyway since I had stuff in the rear and they would aim a little lower now theoretically.

Makes sense now and yeah, my normal driving is set at 3 as well

That drawing turns something that should be pretty simple (aim your headlight somewhere between these two points on a wall) and makes it confusing. I guess the reason they give you an inch of wiggle room is because the cutoff of the stock projectors might make it harder to tell exactly where they hit.

I think rather than measuring H, I would drive the FX up to the wall and mark it visually, then back it up the 10 m just to save yourself the hassle.
