ok so this is kind of a how to.
I opened the clock to find there is two small filament bulbs with orange caps (very common) on top. I’m terms of led’s, it’s about the size of a 5mm led. Had some spare led parts lying around so I was excited to see it was getting 12v at the contact points.
The contact point on the bulb holders just utilize the legs (contact wires) of the bulbs twisted around to hold itself on the bulb holder.
During the testing phase I had mistakenly put the harness in upside down, blew the interior parking light fuse, which I think also broke my clock. Here’s a pic of what it did look like illuminated midway, it’s rather bright outside so sorry it’s not the greatest pic.
This is not a success as my clock is broken. Need to find another one. Strange part now is that when my clock harness NOT plugged in, my hazard doesn’t work, regardless of the car being off or on.
I need someone’s help please. Can someone please please unplug the clock harness and then see if the hazard button works. I’m guessing it utilizes each other in terms of circuitry but need to be sure.
I’ve put the stock bulbs back in but it blows the fuse after a few seconds so pretty sure the circuit on the clock is busted.
Clock panel piece just pries off and the harness plug is right there.
Someone do me a solid please. Hope the community can give back on this.
