How the __c_ do I remove this headlight clip?

I feel like I am going to break it, can't understand how it is unclipped from the housing?

I recall my headlight days, you can have the plug lifted and slide towards the hid bulb cover. Get a light on the side of the socket plug and you should see the design.

I had to use quite a bit of force to get this removed, but it came off in the end...just grab the clip and use a pulling motion (away from the headlight) and try slowly wiggling the clip laterally side-to-side and it should slide off.
