wassup guys I got a 04 fx35 got about 112k miles on it. Ive come to see how much is rusty and correted underneath some parts are rusted and bolts are rusted. is this common or you guys don't have any rust down their after 10-8 years of weather?

Any kind of rust underneath is common especially if you live in a place with bad winters and if the bottom wasnt kept clean since day 1.

My undercarriage is pretty clean, but I wash pretty frequently during the winters. I hate salt sitting on my car for any amount of time.

Yeah, but you don't get to enjoy the fun of driving the FX in the snow. Traction Control turned off obviously. :)

me to fun in the sun and in the rain. but for the question at hand any car you do not get the right care well start to rust.

It's normal, I purchased mine from NY even though I'm in GA. It only spent 2 years and 12K mi. in NY, but a lot of the bolts on the underside were seized up. Not so much visible rust, but a lot of the suspension and exhaust bolts were frozen and had to be removed with extreme prejudice.

Wow. That's funny because I bought my FX45 here in Ga, but Carfax lists its original owner as being from NY. However, my FX do not have rust except on the rotors, which is normal. I guess the original was too afraid to drive it in the snow up there when he owned it.

Yeah, I bought mine in GA from a dealer, but the original owner was in NY. Rotors do have a little rust on the hats, but no visible rust on the underside. It was only when I was doing suspension stuff that I found the rear upper strut bolts were seized, front passenger strut tie bar was seized and had to be cut off, and a couple of the rear suspension bolts I had to remove to install a brace were effectively frozen. Took lots of heat, a couple of broken sockets and a 4 ft. cheater bar to get it off. Then half the exhaust bolts were seized.
