Im going to be hitting 30K miles in December or January and Im getting some 30K maintenance done at the dealer. In the factory maintenance book it says for premium maintenance to replace the transfer case oil and the differential oil. I was wondering is it a good idea to do at 30K? It also says to replace the engine drive belts and drain and refill engine coolant. I was wondering should I do this stuff too?

Sometimes I drive sporty and also tow things on the trailer hitch, so Im not sure if that requires premium maintenance or not.

Please help guys =]

oem belts and differential oil should easily last you 50k. coolant flush is a garage time work. it's best if you inspect everything yourself first then get talked into by the stealership.

2009 and 30k soon? DAMN.

The average amount of miles someone puts on a car a year is 13K-15K miles. My FX is about to be 2 years old, so that's right. Besides I'm at 28K miles right now.

What about the transfer case oil?

i would say it wouldnt hurt doing it early.. as Bleedingsujit said it can last 40k-50k but heck doing at 30k itll be even better..

Ok so here is my 30K miles maintenance list I got going:

Replace differential oil

Replace transfer case oil

Replace engine drive belts

Rotate tires

Replace motor oil

I've done the micro cabin filter myself and the engine air filters ( way too easy)

How come in my maintenance book it says replace automatic transmission fluid " except models with 7 speed automatic transmission and the M35/EX35 with the 5 speed automatic transmisssion???? It doesn't make sense!
