I have a 2011 fx35, 2nd gen with oem 18 rims. I need to get some all terrain tires but I would like them to be a little bigger. My current tire size are 265/60r18. Can I go wider or taller with the oem 18 rim without any complications?

You could go to a 275 but if you go taller to a 65 you might throw off your speedometer alilbit.

There's definitely room. I checked with America's Tire over the phone and they said that 285/60R18 is a possibility, but that it should be test-fit first on each vehicle before mounting all four tires on the wheels. This was for a stock (gen 2) FX37.

It will fit fine if you go wider, no rubbing or anything if you're at stock height. But I think it's only an 8" wide rim so if you run 275 or 285 tires there will be more tire bulge. It looks a little strange and may lead to slight changes in handling.

If you want to go larger profile, it will likely again fit but your speedo will be off.

Why do you want to get bigger tires on stock wheels?
