I see guys who still have their FX since 03, 04, 05. When are you going to let go? I want to keep mine for couple more years or even more..

mine was paid for cash, and after all the mods, I really don't think I'll be selling it, because I'll be losing a lot. The ONLY problem is the damn gas prices... I have the 45 and a while back, I decided to get the TS flash... the MPG's went from bad to worst... so, right now it's just sitting in the garage in California, while I'm living in Vancouver Canada. Last winter, my sister emailed me and reminded me that it's due for a new registration, and this time it needs a smog. Sadly, I told her to just register it as a non operating vehicle :rolleyes.: (for now). It doesn't help that I have the LMS intake :shot:

In case some of you are wondering why I didn't bring the FX up to Vancouver:

1) gas prices... EVEN WORST up here
2) converting it to be "Canada" legal = waaaaaaay too much work/effort
3) where I live, my assigned parking spot isn't very big and it's sandwiched between two other spots. I've already gotten some dings from the people that park on the right side of me... (on my 06' Ford Fusion), thank God, I didn't bring it here.

but for what it's worth, my 2003 FX45 has only about 50k miles :smug:

(another reason worth mentioning.... this was a "gift" from my dad... who passed away in early 2008... so yeah... there's sentimental value to it that's priceless)

I can't believe the earlier FX's are approaching 10 years old but look as if they are brand spanking new. Similar to Ken, mine was also paid for cash so not really looking to get rid of it. It's DD title will probably be replaced within 5-7 years with another vehicle but won't ever be sold. It was also my first car, so deserves priority treatment no matter what :smile (2):.

Interesting, ive had mine for 8 years and still going, spent 32-35k to pay it off. Some folks use their fx as a secondary car, but my fx has been my main car for 8 years and still not tired of it :)

I would like to keep mine as long as possible, but you never know. I kinda still wish I had my first car just for sentimental value. Maybe one day I'll buy another just like it, if I can find one.

Yes, its pretty amazing the S50 FX has been out close to 10 years now, but its design is easily 11 years old since the concept emerged. I plan on keeping my FX long term. Even if I get a new car it will be my spare/beater car if it came down to that. All the time spent caring for and modding the FX, I couldn't just get rid of it. Not anytime soon, that's for sure.

I just bought mine 5 months ago, i plan on keeping it for atleast 5-7 years. If i get rid of it, it's to get a 09 or newer fx50

I love my FX and plan on keeping it till the wheels fall off:tongue (2):

I'll be keeping it forever! Not ever getting rid of it. I want to actually see how long I can run this motor till it craps out on me 70 years from now with a million billion thousand million whatever miles lol.

Are you forgetting we have VQ motors bro. With the right maintenance and care, these engines are bullet proof!!!:top::top::top:

Also definately getting another Infiniti next year. But not saying which one though :wink (2):

I will be keeping mine for a very long time and when the time is right Ill get the FX45 wich is what I was originally looking for. :tongue (2):

first car i bought myself and paid cash for in full. Keeping it till it runs to the ground. when that happens build it back up again :P

never getting rid of it. I now keep all cars i buy and just keep adding to my colection with a new ride every 5 years

No plan of get rid of it. Like others said, if the wheel came off, I'll put it back on and run it again until it came off again :smile (2):

I purchased my 09 FX brand new.
I'm keeping my FX for a while yet, I think. If I do get rid of it , it will be replaced by an FX50.

Since this is my second one and I dont put many miles on them, I will have it for a while I am sure. I looked for something else for a year before buying this one and for the $, nothing else compared. I would love to bump up to a 45 or 50 someday but then again with the gas prices like they are, I am happy with my current 16mpg!

I bought mine new on nov of 2010 and at first i was thinking i was not going to do anything but since I joined :iS: i kno for sure that the fx will not be going anywhere if anything it will be a show car with lots of mods :tongue (2):
