I just want to know how high your idle RPM is in the morning when you first fire off your car. I just have this strange feeling that my car idles pretty high. I'm a bit concerned that the high morning idle has to do with my plenum spacer? Maybe I have a vacuum leak?

Can you guys please let me know how high you are idling?

I'm currently idling @ 1.5k.

Thanks.

I think mine is about the same - but I'll check tomorrow for ya

Mine is about 650-700 once warm but your normal morning idle should be a lil higher then that, then come down.

Mine was about 1400/1300 this morning - The pic was taken after I lit up a cancer stick, so it was sitting for about a minute or so.

Either everyone has high idles or mine is to low but I don't get any flutter or signs of wanting to shut off. Shouldn't normal idle be around 650. Note my ride is 03 so maybe there is a different idle for each year dunno...

Normal operating idle is 650 RPM (+/- 50) so anywhere from 600 to 700 is normal.
But I think Mongolian was asking about the first start in the morning Dee.

Yup.

I just wanted to know first morning idle. I drive the FX once a week so I thought that had to do with it, but it appears most people are idling where I am. I guess there is no cause for concern.

I don't know if it's any different for a 45, but, just now... I checked, it started off @1500, within few seconds it came down to 1250... I was going to drive it to the gym, but with this crappy-ass weather I decided not to... but, now I'm curious how high it idles when warmed up...

rpm questions

sorry to bring up an old thread but my 2005 fx35 (had it for a couple weeks) initially starts up at about 2100rpm and then comes down to the low 1000's range. is it normal for it to jump up over 2000 rpm as soon as i start the vehicle?
also my rpm cruising on the highway at 70mph is like 2500. is that normal?

Code P0507 keeps reappearing and throttle Position learning

I have been trying get rid of code P0507 on my recently purchased 2004 Infinity FX45 for several weeks now with no luck. The code came on a day after I replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the throttle body. I go thru the procedure outlined on this forum and the Nissan forum and nothing happens. It idles ate around 900 rpm. The light never blinks, it just stays on. I tried it with the P0507 cleared this morning and the "Service engine soon" light came back on. It was the P0507 again. Does this mean I have to take it to the dealer? I have a son who is a mechanic and he says it needs to be hooked to a computer that only the dealer has. Is there anything else I can do? What causes this?
