Hey guys, was wondering how hard is it to obtain parts for a r34/buying aftermarket parts to make parts more accessible? Talkin about some general maintenance stuff like brake pads, rotors, wheels, tires and etc. Just wondering what it would be like rebuilding a r34 before a purchase.

I was just curious so I took a look and apparently parts are relatively easy to get. Just look at eBay or Amazon and there are plenty of parts. Wheels/tires wouldn't be any different than a USDM Nissan, they're 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

i guess i shouuld of been more specific and worded myself correctly. I saw some parts on there too and thinking the car is 15+ years old and later down the road say another 10 years we would be able to get parts still from other cars. Like wheel bolt patterns are pretty universal and dont think 5x114.3 is ever going to die since a lot of cars use it. i know the r34 is one of the most customizable tuners but with age will parts be still easy to come by because of how versatile it can be

We have coilovers available for this vehicle. And many other parts as well. Feel free to PM me.

R34 is still my favorite Skyline of all time....would love to see you get one of these. I plan on getting one one day once they are past the 25 yr
mark to import...there's a place in Virginia that does this...Japanese Classics. They import good condition cars, that are ready to drive, registered and everything.
They are an actual car dealership with all classics that previously were illegal here.

^ In canada the law is 15 years so i have already seen some of these on the roads. R32s and R33s are everywhere already.

You guys are lucky that you don't live in California. It is much harder and costly to register and legalize the Skyline GTRs here since we have CARB laws/regulations. I have been looking at an R32 but it costs an additional 10-15K to get it titled in cali.

Yeah im in canada with my girlfriend and she loves the r35 and ive been a r34 r33 fan and its rubbed off on her and she wants to get one now just to own a "gtr" My days here i've seen two on the road. So far we've found a few thats in her price range. Anyone have an idea about how much it would cost to change the left drive to a right? I assume a engine clean/rebuild could cost 1-5k+. Most the r34s here are 100,00km+ and if anything were to go wrong we want to be able to get parts pretty easily. Most likely looking for aftermarket parts to put on, brembo brakes, coilovers, new intakes etc.

I think parts for these cars will be available for a while since its a pretty popular model and once the 25 year mark passes they'll be in even more demand here in the states

Parts shouldn't be a problem since they were made for a number of years in Japan so it's not a super rare car where there are only 3 in existence. I don't think converting to left hand drive will be feasible. They never made the R34 in left hand drive so you'd have to convert parts from other cars to make it work and chop up the dashboard. I read an article where someone had done it, but it doesn't sound easy or worth it. Much easier to learn to shift with your left hand.

Cool...so in Canada you could pick up a '99-'00 R34....is there a place that imports them there??

yea we have a 15 year rule so this year I have started seeing them on the roads. Some people have imported them years ago, then parked them and slowly worked on them until it was legal to register.

Maaaan...we still have to wait another 10 years in the US!! :disapointed:
Contemplating a move to Canada jst for this car lol

Sweet guys thanks for the feedback. They have a few beastly r34 gtrs for sale here tuned at 700hp going for about 50-68K but we will probably end up builing a close to stock or slightly modded one! She doesnt mind learning he manual but doesnt like the fact its left hand drive.
