How does the 09 FX35 ride?

Hey all, brand new to the forum, just have a couple of quesitons for all you FXers.

The lease on my M35sport is up in about 5 days... and I have no idea what to get next. I am looking to lease again, but there's just nothing out there that's grabbing all my attention..so here's the deal..
I love Infiniti and I'd love to stay with them. The only car I'm really excited about right now is the new Audi A4.
However, I always did like the FX. I like the 09 even more... I never test drove it yet though, I just need a little feedback on how it drives.
...is it really trucky-like, is it sluggish like your pushing a tank? .. Or, is it very much like a car? .. How is it on corners and such? Steering, handling, acceleration?

My M35 is rear-wheel, I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. I just want that tight, solid, all wheel drive feel. Can I expect this with the FX35 awd ?

I plan on test driving it, but I figured I'd ask FX owners their opinion first. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thks guys.

((and also what do you think a reasonable lease rate would be on an 09 FX35)) thks again.

You will love how the FX handles. It definitely does NOT drive like a truck. It is based of the nissan Z platform so it drives and handles like a bigger sports car. Once you test drive it you will realize what everyone here already knows.

just bought my 09 a few months ago, upgraded from a honda prelude, a FWD car. All i can say is, the last thing your going to think is that the 09 FX moves like a "tank". Its pretty much the G35s but a bit bigger, IMO. I love my FX to death. Wouldnt trade it for any other car/suv in its price range . Handling is awesome, acc is awesome, interior is awesome. and the speed is there. I honestly think you'll love it. But everyones different. Test drive it. and let me knnow if you agree with me or not.

Not sure about lease. I bought my car straight up fully loaded for 47,000

I own a 09 fx35. You handles very good in comparison to other trucks. Its not going to beat the A4 in handling. Do keep that in mind. however if you need all the space fx is the way to good.

best way is to give other cars in its category a test drive, than go back and test drive the fx. Maybe that will help you make up your decision.

I think your going to want to buy it when your done with the test drive.

Arrrright,
I LOVED the way this thing moved and handled. It's everything and more like what you guys described. Totally happy with the test drive, ordered the car.

Moonlight White - Blk/Blk Lacquer/Maple inside.
Deluxe Touring Pack (20in 5 spoke rims!)
Prem Pack
Navi Pack

Wasn't crazy about the friggin maple wood inside included with the Touring Pack - It took me a good half hour to decide on whether to get it or not ... but I had to go with the 20's. Not into the whole buying aftermarket rims then having to hassle to sell them shits when the lease is up!

Lease:
3,000.00 down payment
+550 first month payment ($550.00 a mo)
$3,617.50 cash due at signing.

What do you guys think?

congrats on the fx, how long is that lease for?

39 mo lease.
...ya know, I wanted those rims bad, would've preferred the fx50's but fk that - the 20's are cool too. I had to get that package...but those damn wood inlays man...I hope it doesn't kill the whole interior.

congrats on the ride.

when I test drove the new FX50, the wood was something I didnt like also. but Im sure you wont be worried about that with the beast under the hood.

FX50 isn't necessary. You can have a lot more fun with the 35 and when gas goes back up, you'll be happy to save the money every week. I understand getting the 50 if you can, and why the hell not but still. Good choice on the 35, I have an 09 too. Congrats

....the 09 really starting to grow on me. You lucky dogs that have one......
Must ride like a friggin dream. Think imma go td one for fun.

rides great but i wish inifiniti didn't tame the exhaust. my buddy recently pick up a stock 06 or 07 g35 stocked. my fx35 sounds so wimpy next to his g :(
