how do you like a sound of 850whp fx35

Running 12psi at 400whp for daily driving, but mine is 3.5l (non stroked) single GT35R turbo with stock compression cylinders. CP Forged pistons & rods, new bearings, HKS head gasket & ARP studs. Fuel system conversion to return style - Walboro 255lph, aeromotive fuel regulator, CJM fuel rails & Injector Dynamics 720cc injectors.

Yes, my transmission is AT - the only transmission that comes with the FX. I know of two manual transmission swaps here on IS.

My Level 10 kit was $850 (two years ago) and I also had the Torque Converter modified $300 (higher stall speed), added a Transgo Shift kit $250 and a transmission oil cooler $250. These were kit costs only - no installation.

I'm excited for you and the build but don't get too hooked on a particular power number.

Waw that was good price on transmision.I will pay $3500 + racing Torque Converter is 700 bucks. But my transmission is build everithing new in side ,its like new transmission. When i talke to the shop today they sed that 800whp will be fore sure or cloused to it,but on race fuel.So will see how it is in october.

How aboute if on top of this i will install NOS maybe like 50-75 shot to meet my goal.

I may be wrong or may be told I'm wrong, but I bet Alenas found another FX that has 790 horsepower, so it must have at least 800. hehe....

Maybe he took a bet for a $50,000 race that a suv crossover could not beat a particular corvette, so $30,000 to make sure you win ain't a bad profit.........

Lithuanians in general are very competitive.....at least most that I know including myself. Probably wasn't smart when I raced a corvette Z06 when I had the mustang cobra where I had gone up to about 140mph on 94. :)

I make 650 on 91 pump gas, never changed the tune for race gas.

brnjug had his trans for his 45 built by level10 long ago. Think he was friends with the owner or something.

800cc will not make 800hp. You'll need at least a twin in tank pump if not one of the newer gen high flow pumps that have been released recently.

10 seconds will be tough. Get it built before you set a drag race goal. :wink (2):

OP do you have E85 in your area? I run it in my daily driver year-round and for the strip and track. Same tune, same fuel. I will definitely follow your build man.. you sound like you will do whatever it takes. Like the attitude!

Wow very eager to see this as well. I think if he can do this with his Level10 tranny Jumbo we can do it as well :tonguey::wink:

Good luck with the build and welcom to the scene. Like everybody says keep us posted......stop by the shop when you can and try to make pics for us....and yourself off course. We are always interested in such builds........and claims

Ray I know you want to believe it man... this is a Level 10 AWD tranny - would not work for you and me on RWD.

This is also the first stroked FX35 I have heard of - that will go a long way towards making that extra power. Ask your shop why they do not think cylinder sleeves should be used at this power level?

Jumbo thanks for your advise ,(cylinder sleeves)yes we will be doing 4.3 l motor so can motor can hold more power, and i can turn the boost for more power safer.

Hey (rookie) you right we will be using a twin in tank pump.

And yes 10 sec will be tough but we will try.

I met up with Alenas for a good 2 hours just a few minutes ago. Great guy. Can't wait until he gets his FX back!

I don't know as much about engines and transmissions as 90% of you guys, but lots of stuff I heard sounded pretty freaken awesome.

Thanks!

Honestly, I thought I was going to meet either a drug dealer, a pimp, or a guy born rich, but turned out quite the opposite. Very very hard working guy, down to earth, easy to talk to, and drag racing is a huge hobby of his and used to do it in California a lot so it was a big pleasure talking about cars and racing for several hours since I've done my own share of racing back in the day. He used to have a trans am heavily moded for drag racing. I have a lot of respect for genuine hard working people.

One item I did find interesting is that he will be getting a warranty on the new built and the shop will put 1,000+ miles on it and then re-tune before giving it back to him. He said he wants to come visit me in Michigan and do some racing in Detroit so we are both looking forward to that.

By the way, it's interesting that there were several comments about this won't work or u will have trouble with this, or you'll lose power cause of the awd, because he actually knows all that even though it may not appear so, so it's not like you are talking to an amateur here. He's not on the site much and won't be much just because he works 7 days a week and almost all day so he just doesn't have the time for forums. He said he'll probably just let me know and I can post about it if he can't find time to get on the forum. I'll probably go to the drag with him when he gets his car back.

Do you guys know the fastest FX currently in the US just out of curiosity?

Here's the 1/4 mile times list: ///1629

Not sure what times people outside of the forum are getting though. Dragtimes.com doesn't show anyone faster either.

Well I'm gonna have to get brad to go to the strip to get some time slips. We also have to wait for john to finish his TT GTR R34 tranny build done so he take it to the drag strip as well.

I clicked the link but didn't find the times? Maybe cause I'm trying to find it through my iPhone?

Brad? Is that jumbo? Has no times!?

Times on a FX is definitely interesting a lot more to me than cars....Luxury SUV with speed. A lot easier to get a car going fast than a hunk of metal not to mention a luxury one. Arelas' FX is loaded with every single luxury bell and whistle for a 2006 and will drag! Lol using lane warning while dragging? I also asked him why not go with srt8 he hated the inside.

Btw, just got a call that this car won't be ready until Nov but a little early to tell.
