...in light of the recent enrollment of new members... I'd thought it might be interesting to know how you found this site... reading it from org? search engine? word of month? bumper sticker? etc. etc..

me? Mongolian told me, cuz we both belong to an Acura forum (we're both former Acura drivers)... He was already at org... and I was too... well, kinda, I lurked for the longest time cuz that's all I could do... I registered, but the confirmation email got sent to junk, I kept waiting and waiting not knowing... Even though I was there "lurking", I didn't know about IS until Mongolian mentioned it (@ the Acura forum) anyway... I finally got into org, but not AFTER I had already joined here...

I like it here better

How about you guys? especially the newbies...

First it was the .org, then i found IS when browsing the FX forum on g35driver. i think Rookie had one of his pictures watermarked with infinitiscene but i cant remember for sure. thats how i ended up here.

I was blindly walking through the hills and saw a carving on an old oak tree. it said "If FXLR8 builds it they will come." Than I woke up and Jeff set the forum up.

Invited by doc, inaugerated super mod, then voted him in as one. Funny how things work sometimes.

I also belong to a VW Passat enthusist site as I own a 'fully modded' 2000 Passat. We decided to get the 05 FX35 with 24k miles in very mint condidtion in February after the wife totaled her 97 G20T.

I actually goggled 'FX35 enthusist sites' and IS popped up among others. You guys are the best, the members are mature, respectful and knowledgeable. I actually find myself spending more time on IS than the VW site lately and my friends are 'warning' me not to mod the wife's car...fat chance.

I plan to give the Passat to my 16 year old son next year and there is actually the possibilty of two FX's in the driveway. Awesome ride she is but she does require some modding ie: improved brakes, lowering springs, wheels and tires and that Stillen exhaust sounds soooo sweet.

Began doin searches for 'FX' before I bought one. Began reading some posts over at org. and realised that some posts linked together like a soap opera. :frown: I found out eventually that IS was created  because of a cat. 2 months later I finally bought one and the boys here have helped me along every inch of the way!

Funny thing is that Infiniti Scene has been around longer than some might think. I actually had this forum up and running in 2005 when I first bought my fx. I later noticed the org and said hhmmm "I don't need to make another forum," so I devoted my time to the org with write-ups, diy's, and what not. Back then iS was a forum for every Infiniti (g, fx, m, all that jazz). I closed Infiniti Scene and it was removed from the web in early 2006.

I eventually met rookie on the org and really liked how helpful he was with everyone, and all the ideas he shared about his car. We later met at Cali Speedway and since that point I knew that rookie was a heck of an enthusiast. We all knew what later happened between rookie and another member of the org, it really bugged me that they would not do much or even permanently ban this member after this person would not play by the org's own rules. Even after a temporary ban of this person nothing really changed, to me it just felt like you had to be an original on the org to really fit in. So... somewhat fed up I pm'd rookie and he said, "if you build it..they will come."

Infiniti Scene was rebuilt and with rookie, gto-dave, Dr.2K, Krayzie, and cube's help we have our site as it is today. I do admit that I go back and forth on each site every so often and am happy that we have 2 sites for our crossover enthusiasts. I really want to thank everybody that enjoys our site and with all the members help and support the site is really starting to grow. Infiniti Scene has a bunch of stuff in store for it, I am pretty much on this site all day and night figuring out new things we can do with it. The forum software is really great and has many nice little features for our members. We might even have an arcade and member maps once we get out of the beta stages of our software version. We are also listening to any concerns or feature requests so please if you have any ideas pm one of us.

Thanks to all the mods, admins, supporters, and members!!!

Enjoy the :iS:.
