hood scoop

here's a similar example....
its the VW taureg from the movie Repo man... they added the same autozone hood scoops that everyone has........ but also side scoops and beefed it up a little with a widebody kit.... (VAG gets all the good movie cameos!) Imagine if they used an FX....it would look sick.

it actually uses an LLTeK body kit with a few alterations....
I personally think it looks so damn good.....
and it has cheap hood scoops...so its relevant haha

I hooked my old suv back in the day. There was no way it was going to be a stick on scoop. I thought it looked good, but it was not as elegant as the FX. Scoops are a no-no, although vents if done properly might be ok.

I was actually wondering the same as the OP...I agree that it would look completely like crap in 99% of the cases ... but if done right, would help add to the aggressive look. But the fact that you can't find a picture of one to save your life is probably a good indication that it looks horrible most of the time and people scrap it. I think if you were to go that rout, it would need to be a very low profile, and a split intake. Also, it would be best on a dark color so it is not so apparent IMO. Another thing to consider though is that the hood already is pretty high in the field of view, and therefore may be quite an eye soar from the cockpit. It just sucks that there are not very many affordable mod options for the fx45...

I don't think a hoodscoop would look good at all! I do however think a small cowl induction bubble style hood would look great, similar to the ones on the BMW M3's minus the 2 side vents.
