How do you guys feel about S2000 CR? It's been released that it'll be the final year that the S2000 will be in production. It might be a nice car to purchase due to the last year of production plus it might be a collector.

I've been wanting this car for awhile now... I really like the white colored CR model. It's pretty damn sexy.
I'm trying to convince the wife to trade cars with me... I'll give her the FX and I get to buy a new play car.

I'm 6' Do you think I can sit in this thing comfortably?

Just my honest opinion (IMHO!), the S2000 has always been plain Jane, and this one tops them all in the plain department. I know they're handling beasts and fun little cars, not to mention quick torque-less wonders.

Personally, the looks of a car is about as important as the performance. It's all about your priorities in a vehicle that should be the deciding factor. As for size, why would it be any different than previous S2000 models? Test drive any S2000 to get a feel for what it's like to be in a sardine can

Again... priorities... if you like the looks, the performance is definitely on par with the price, so if you can afford it and sit comfortably in it, this would be a no-brainer

at one point, I was considering in selling my cbr and jumping onto a 2005+ honda s2000 (plain jane version please)... should be a fun/twisties kinda car.

Aint too crazy of the CR tho, not digging that front chin with big wing.

Best way to describe it, a sport bike with 4 wheels.

The way Car and Driver describes it, you don't get in the car, you wear it, and it becomes an extension.

The 6 speed requires very little movement, it's like a toggle switch since it is connected directly to the transmission. The steering is a little numb since it is electric, but the rest of the chassis communicates very well.

The engine is typical Honda, it has to stay over 6.5k to be happy, which pretty much means drive it like you hate it.

I loved mine, had to give it up for a back seat.

i looked at one...

have owned miatas since 96, looked at one, but while i fit in a miata fine, at the end of the test drive with the S2000, i was like "nice car, but do you have one in a 44 reg?".

transmission is great, it is the same Aisin 6spd unit used in the miatas (although it is very sensitive about lubricant choice), the engine is typical honda. i have noticed people don't seem to own them very long...
