Honestly this car is starting to be a bit of an issue.
I was driving along on I4 and my car suddenly looses power steering and the battery light and brake light turns on.
I drive it all the way home and pull over and when I pop the hood I am sitting there stairing at a belt flinging around on 1 pulley and the belt tensioner pulley completely gone.

what could even cause that...?
It's not something ya'll can fix, just flabbergasted.

Bearing on the pulley seized up and broke off. These have gotten common overtime with age. But some last a lifetime. Most cases they make an awful noise, streaking noise but sometimes people don't notice.

I had my idler pulley removed because of this.

^that or your belt might of had a tear or crack that you had not seen, and it finally tore off. How long ago did you change ur belt?
Also overtightening will do the same damage. Buy a new belt put it on and tighten it and feel the belt, it should have a little finger play, if there is no play its overtightened
