Those tips do look pretty slick, I'll have to look into that. My mods may be on hold for a while. My laptop is on it's way out so I may have to drop 3K on a new one, which will pretty much kill my entire FX budget for a little while. :tdown:
 
I'm a graphic designer so all my work is done on Macs. A new 17" MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM is about 2800 bucks. I'm going to try and drop a new hard drive and RAM into my current MacBook Pro, I'm thinking that should keep it going for at least another year.
 
That's exactly what I was guessing haha. I priced out a new 17" MBP and added the 8 GB of RAM and bigger HD and it was just under 3k.
