friend with a z just called me & told me the same... nice kit for conservative & reliable without tearing up everything else in the drivetrain... & quiet...

I believe that is to retain the warranty. But you can purchase the kit from an authorized dealer, and install it yourself (minus the warranty).
 
GTM makes an upgrade for this (I think a pulley upgrade) that's supposed to increase power alot more.

Yeah, that's the kit I'm eyeing. I'm interested in the stage 4 kit. Been putting it off due to the down economy, but I'm thinking by spring 2010 I should be able to have it done.

Nice, I want to see it once you're done. I'm still in school until early June so I'll be out there probably.
 
I really like the HKS SC, especially with the GTM upgrade. wishing the government will give me a bailout or some slush fund :wub:
 
just got news that a friend of mine is an authorized hks dealer (decent price, below MSRP), trying to hard to fight that mod bug ....

I'll have to ask him some more questions of installation/tuning and warranty.
