I think it is all hocus pocus, but it is easy to install, only costs about $20.

It would not hurt anything to try it, and the most you would be out is $20 if it didn't work. I say, if you want to try it go for it, and report the results here as aero said.

Excerpt from Wikipedia:

The popular U.S. television show Mythbusters investigated several fuel-saving devices using both fuel-injected cars and diesel powered cars under very controlled circumstances.
The concept of fuel line magnets, which supposedly align the fuel molecules so they burn better, was tested and they determined it made no difference in the rate of fuel consumption.

Whether it saves you fuel economy or not, it may be beneficial in other ways listed. But yes, I agree its mostly hocus pocus as well. If it worked this well, then we would all heard of this and installed it by now, lol.

already ordered. Decided to try it as soon as received and installed, accomplish your goal is there any sense of such gizmos

I agree, it would also be installed on all factory cars as it would save them millions in R&D to increase MPG.

Please let us know the results. Try to keep all variables constant with regards to your testing.

I've tested it on my ride.
So:
It doesn't work on my Fx 50. To be absolutely precise, the feeling that the engine is throttled. machine does not pull its 390 horses. But consumption has decreased, it is probably due to the fact that the engine is throttled.
But as I promised, I gave HKS magnet to my friend. We put it on the Kia Ceed hatchback 2.0 MT. He says he feels like after the 3000 rpm car is more playfully starts to gain momentum.
One of these days we will compare two identical Kia Ceed hatchback 2.0 MT (one with a magnet and another without a magnet). Ride will be different people (3-4 people I think will be enough), what would understand, in fact, after the car goes better than 3000 rpm or not.

Also i want to test it on Fx 35.

Thanks for the pictures George.

I just can't help the feeling that if these things were that effective, that all car manufactures around the world would use them in every single one of their cars. After all, isn't the US government raising the minimum Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) each and every year higher and higher? It would just make sense that if these things truly worked that the would be standard technology on every single car.

I had this installed on my 350Z and noticed nothing in the forms of gains. However it cannot hurt anything either.
this type of product has been out for decades now, and there's never been any solid evidence that it helps or hurts millage.

If you think about how the fuel is pressurized AFTER this unit before it's even compressed and sprayed into the motor, you'll see that ANY separation the atoms go through while AT the magnet will not matter by the time they hit the motor as they will be re-mixed and compressed at that point regardless...

It's like putting an typhoon intake thing in the intake system to swirl the air. In theory it makes sense, BUT the air has to do so much more twisting and flowing and compressing before it gets to the engine that the spiral of air is negated well before it enters the engine, thus negating any affect... Same here with the fuel...

I put one on my interior and superior vena cava. I don't need to breathe as often now, I am running much more efficient.

I kid, I kid...

I do like HKS, I'd throw one on if I was bored enough.

when u guys say it doesn't cost u anything u are wrong. $20 in gas is what u loose by buying such a junk item.

if ideas like this work then Nissan. would of put it into our cars, we are in a little MPG war now. they are doing everything they can to squeeze more out.

this is somewhat the same logic for short ram intakes in the current market, if they yield any gains on the upper end you will loose much more on the lower end. save your money guys
