Hello all,
I'm working on installing an aftermarket subwoofer, amp, and dsp. Im working on getting the foundation set by installing a 250A H/O alternator (Note: My vehicle is past the 100k mileage marker so ill have to replace the alternator anyway, might as well do the upgrade now), I want to know any advice for upgrading the power wire to the oem battery terminal. I know that if you fry the terminal along with the fuse bracket, you'll potentially need to replace the entire assembly (which is not cheap). If there is a way to do this safely or bypass something, any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

Note: I know for two (2) 8" woofers I dont necessarily NEED a H/O alternator, I'm installing this now to in a way "future proof" my system so in the future when the oem amp eventually goes out, i can just install another amp for speakers & tweeters and just run speaker wire.

Just Note: I know i wont need the 250 amps for this one amp and two (2) subs, but in the future when i add another amp and more speakers, the alt will already provide sufficient power for the system. I already have the alt and the new belt i just want to know what i else i need to do to the foundation before installing anything music related to ensure i dont fry my electrical system..
