Looking around at different 35 watt HID kits-there a few to choose from. Has anyone used a NOTTO HID kit? I am just looking for a quality made HID kit. Another question- The kelvin rating on their bulbs is pretty broad and jumps from 5K to 10K, 10K is not DOT compliant for fogs SO will 5k match my OEM headlights? I know there are a ton of threads on this topic and I have read most of them, just hoping to jump to the short answer on this from someone. I also Checked out DDM and MTECH....

5k will be close but not a perfect match for the oem hid bulb. Also, there are light color discrepencies between the same kelvin rated bulbs from different manufacturers. So if you want the exact match the best way would be to buy same bulb and kit from one manufacturer.

Good call, seems like most of the upper tier modders (like yourself) choose the 6K route. Do you suggest purchasing new headlight bulbs and fogs at the same time to shoot for a closer color match?

Yes, I suggest getting both from the same manufacturer. I got the mtec 6k HID fog kit then decided to get the mtec 6k HID bulb for the headlights. DDM is used by some members here and the cost seems to be pretty cheap. You may want to give them a call and see if they sell the bulbs by themselves but I'm ptretty sure they do.

Thanks gentlemen, input greatly appreciated. Looking forward to installing HID fogs and having them switched via the KP tech controller module......
