HID Fog Lights: 35w vs 55w?

I just installed HID into my reverse lights, its 35w 6000k . it warms up pretty quick but i havent left em on long enough to find out if anything will melt.

Consequences can be a fried harness, blinding oncoming traffic, etc. The lens are glass, so that should be fine. I am not sure what the interior is as I haven't actually looked at the replacement and the broken foglight I have.

you'd better stick with 35w hid for fog lights... even though 55w hids are brighter than 35w hid but they generate more heat ...so 55w Kits are not recommended for smaller fog light housings because they tend to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area... you need to be concered of issue of melting your housings...

you are unsatisfied with fogs not because of 35w hid or 55w hid, it is because what brand hid u choose and ur installation .....

just go for this vvme 9006 35w 6k hid kit

i am satisfied with my vvme D2s 6k for both hi/low beam ... digital slim ballast work steadily with bulbs..very bright and white color with a little blue tint.....i like the color so much..

I just put DDM 6K into my fogs last night. They are really bright and I need to adjust the aim down a little bit. I think 35w is more than enough output and great in looks department. I can't imagine going up to 55w for various negative reasons.

Stock low beams are 4300K So a 35W 4500K or 5000K.
 
DDMtuning has the slim kits on sale right now for $35! and a pair of bulbs is only $12.95!

So I purchased 1 hid 3K kit and 1 pair of 3000k bulbs. Hid kit for my other car and bulbs for my FX's fogs(switching from my 6K for winter to improve visibility in rain/fog).
 
I got the 4500 kit from them for my fogs. If I buy their 4500k bulbs for my headlights will I have a perfect match between fogs and headlights?
 
Probably not worth doing.

4300 and 4500K is not going to be that different.
Also, the OEM bulbs are better quality.

I run 4300K lows and 5000K fogs on my Titan and they look the same to me.
Some suppliers will say 4300K and some will say 4500K.
 
+1 agree.

If your staying 4300/4500K....Do not change your bulbs. Stock are of MUCH higher quality. Only switch the HL bulbs if you want to go into 6K.
