Hi Reving Rattling

hey guys, so like most people with a nice exhaust tone, I like to accelerate in tunnels and such and hear the exhaust, but as i punch it and the car downshifts, Im hearing a rattling noise, its annoying and only appears in high reving. Could be a heat shield on the exahust?

I tried searching around the threads, but didn't find anything concrete.

my car was rattling a bit and it ended up being the heat shield on the cats, it wasn't at high speeds but it could still be your problem
 
Had a similar problem, added three 3" hose clamps at each end of the Y-pipe heat shield and it silenced. I also noticed that the buzzing only happened if the vehicle was cold, once it was warmed up I think that any gap between the heat shields was taken up in expansion and eliminated or significantly reduced the vibration/rattle noise. If anyone needs pics, let me know.
 
I had this rattling noise once coming from the exhaust, it sounded like (it is not necessarily the case though) a loose bolt on a clamp that holds the exhaust pipe in place, so when I step on the gas the exhaust pipe starts vibrating against surroundings. It ruined the beauty of the exhaust sound and was very annoying. I went under the car and there was no looseness and everything was firmly tightened.

I had a co-existing problem with it, my engine would turn over but won't start before several attempts, i lived with both problems, afterwards all I remember I did was scanned my car and cleared all trouble codes, and both issues disappeared all at once. Never bothered to know why as I had other issues in the car to attend to.

Using a manual screwdriver was hard lol luckily I just found the bit for my cordless screw driver.
I'll be attempting this now.. isn't a 3-in clamp too big?
 
Mine is rattling like crazy now between 2250-2500rpm, not sure if the clamps loosened up or it just started vibrating in another place. I may just cut the heatshield off like others have done to be done with it once and for all.

I was going to put on clamps yesterday but my mechanic suggested not to.
He said it will eventually loosen up and rattle again, so he ripped it all off.
No more rattle!!! ... feels 10lbs lighter too. :)
