hello, is there a way to change the wood in the console on my FX50s without ruining the wood?
I am looking for chrome or carbon fiber.

can this be done and where can i buy the replacement?

Thanks :):smug:

I think there a re replacement dash kits you can find. You could also vinyl wrap the pieces if you are comfortable doing it. I would use 3m 1080.

^No, not really. More complicated than wrap

If you want a more durable, permanent and glossy look, you can remove all your trim pieces and get them hydro-dipped in carbon. It looks more genuine than wrapping it. A few members here have done that.

Vinyl is the least permanent solution and hydro-dip is the most permanent. An in between may be to get carbon fiber cloth and install with spray adhesive. To me, it looks more genuine than both vinyl and hydro-dip. It looks most like vinyl, but the texture is much better. Don't buy actual carbon fiber fabric since you would need resin, but they make a cloth the simulates carbon.

did you ever end up doing the vinyl wrap? I was thinking about doing it soon. I'll post pictures when I do.
