Hi all!

Car
2010 Fx50s
Hi everyone. I just picked up my 2005 FX35, silver with wheat interior (was really hoping for black, but could't pass it up). It only has 57K miles on it. It is fully loaded with the Tech, Sport, and Touring packages. This forum, thus far, has really been useful. I have been researching some of the quirks with the FX's so I know what I am getting into. I also received advice on some of my first mods. On its way is the Dice MediaBridge so I can get my iPhone going! I am also purchasing a set of H&R's soon.
In the past, I have been a Mustang and Cobra guy. I've had some highly modified Mustangs and always been a speed and handling freak. I do all my own work unless it means having a huge capital investment like an alignment machine!
Since becoming a father, I switched over from Mustangs to G's. My first was an 05 6MT coupe and then an 07 6MT sedan. Unfortunately, the back seat didn't allow both a forward and rear facing baby seat without making me and a passenger extremely uncomfortable, thus the FX. IMO a perfect blend platform of performance and space.
I cannot wait to start meeting everyone and share our experiences and advice. I know I will be hitting a lot of you up.
I appreciate your help!
Tim

Welcome to the site Tim, have a good time. There's another guy here that came from mustangs. He should say hello soon.

Thanks. I went from a 92 LX 5.0 Hatch (Titanium Silver...my favorite) to a 95 GT to a 95 Cobra (full Kenny Brown and cage daily driver), to a 02 GT and finally an 03 Cobra. Then the baby came....Convinced myself the G coupe would work. Much bigger back seat but quickly learned that leaning back to put a baby in and out was not going to work. Went to the G sedan and it was great for one rear facing car seat in the middle. When I had to go front facing, worked even better....However, another kid on the way and the G backseat was not made for 2 seats, one of which being a rear facing. At least in my situation.

Welcome to IS! The FX is a fantastic Crossover, no doubt. I came from many go fast cars, and could'nt be more happy with my decision. Enjoy the modding and the plethera of knowledge here on Infiniti Scene, glad to have ya aboard.

Welcome to :iS:

You'll love the FX ride. Came from 06 GT and 09 Cobra with numerous mods. Loved the cobra, but not the repair bills or space issues and the luxury features of the FX are just awesome and hard to look back!

Thanks Wayne. Yours avi looks fresh. I really need to get some updated pics of mine. Been almost a year since I took some.

blue - very similar to the LE FX blue 96 - I cracked the engine block while on a ramp gunning getting on a freeway (on I-55 from county line road - I know Andy knows where that is!! Just one exit east of Kingery).

Oh sh*t! Not 09, I mean 98!!!! Oh my gosh time flies. I got that car when it was like 1 year old...I can't believe it's been THAT long. She was dear to my heart. She probably had around 400hp and was a rocket and was bad ass. When I sold her off my driveway, my wife came home with a big cake to make me feel better.

This is the last video I took of her. The new owner had just given me the cash, was revving it cause I wanted one last video before she left me for good. You can actually hear my depressed voice in the video. :(
