Hey there! I’m a semi-new Infiniti owner, but have been checking out this forum for a few months now. I bought my qx70s 5.0 in April. I decided it was time to get rid of that large reminder to introduce myself haha. So here I am. I’ve loved Infiniti since the g35 coupe came out in late 2002 and had an extreme passion for them ever since. Super stoked to finally own her! I’m not yet sure how to upload a photo but will soon figure it out. Y’all have a great forum, best I’ve found and I’m here to stay! Thanks.

Welcome to the site and “semi” congrats :)

I have a 2014 5.0 as well and love everything about it.

Hey thanks man for the welcome and of course the “semi” congrats, you as well it looks like!
Funny thing is that your ride was the very first I came across when discovering the garages part of IS. Haha. Anyhow, thanks for the welcome again! the very first one

I’m curious on how much these cars are holding on to their value. It’s very rare to find a V8 qx70. Do you mind sharing the condition (mileage, extras, packages etc) and how much it cost you?

I paid like $32k for mine back in July 2018, it had about 44k miles on it and it’s the QX70S with the technology package.

I think they are still holding their value seeing that when you check online some are still going for a pretty penny since they discontinued the model.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I got mine for 25k (sticker price) at 73k. I purchased April of this year. Pristine condition, the prior owner took amazing care of the car. Only thing I could say was tiny are a couple paint chips on the hood and the drivers seat cushion left side has a little indenting but other than that perfect (:
It is an “s” edition, and came with the technology package. I almost want to say that our vehicle being having the v8 only comes as a qx70s at least in the US. I’m not sure though I could be wrong on that.
It is rare to find them out there for sale. I’d been in the market for an Infiniti Q60 or 50s but then life plans changed and my location did as well to where I now required an suv and also for it to be awd. So I was going for the qx80 because after the engine change to twin turbo in the q’s the 3.7 or 3.5 in Infiniti’s current suv lineup just wasn’t enough for me, personally. But I happened across an article one night about Infiniti making that engine for one last year badged as a qx. I did a nationwide search and found only one for sale, mine (: It was in Tennessee and I lived in Cali at the time, so I also paid to have it shipped to me. Freight wasn’t too bad about $1200. But well worth it.
I’d say their holding their value pretty well, as with most Infiniti’s do, and even more so when the vehicle is badged an S (with the actual sport package).

Thanks for sharing!

Yes, these things are rare; I had a similar experience where I flew to CT from MI to buy my specific car and there was only one in the nation that was up for sale at the time.

my father in law has a 2015 Q50 with the non turbo 3.7 V6 and I can say that I really like the way the car drives. The newer Q50 has the turbo 3.0 V6 and I hear they are pretty powerful as well.
Enjoy that V8!
