Sure, I will actually be finding out about the Loan Tuesday, so that would be perfect, I could see what you had to say about that vehicle then have it inspected? possibly they said 2-3 days for timing for an inspection, so that would work out amazing actually. thanks guys I REALLY appreciate it!

Another question for you guys, are there a LOT of FX's in the NYC area? this vehicle has been for sale for 2 months, if its as awesome as it seems price..miles..and such....is that suprising? or is the market flooded with them there?

Thanks for the search. I should have listed my needs/wants more that first one is nice but no tech package. The second one. Costs to much. Love the third one but not awd.

Thats really to bad, i only seen one around the Madison area like once a year or so. not very common here, I have talked to the Infiniti dealers, and they tell me the orange is rare, and hard to find. they havent seen them in awhile. Also need to get a hitch for it, as I am avid Jetski'er

Just thought of another question, in what package did the FX include a block heater? I have seen some that have it, and some that dont, is it the Touring pkg?

so I went for the test drive to Highline motor for the FX35


the dealer had about 30-40 cars in the lot


typical auto dealer but like the name says " highline" they had mostly high end vehicles- infiniti alot of bmws few range and all.


looked like 2-3 man operation and nice people they let me take my time....and left the car to me for me to look and feel the car.


well here it goes~~~


when i arrived they have already taken the FX out of the lot for me too see it, it just stopped snowing and some snow were still on the car.


they had cpl other customers so the dealer actully drove and i sat next to him in passenger side car cause he dint have enough dealer plates available.


typical FX start and the guy drove it pretty harsh but it drove like a usual fx only thing it had a slight vibration at highway speed. not very noticeable but only

because i am very keen to these things.


there was a usual brake squeek noise cuz the roads were wet and some FX's do tend to make that noise.


and we finished our test drive after about 3-4 mile highways and local roads.

now to the detail looks of the car after we parked the FX 35

fromt his image u can see that the fog light in the passenger side does light up but the color of the cover has faded due to leaks

now the under car and under the hood!!!!



I tried looking under the car but wasnt too easy but from the glipse of it there wasnt too much rust or anything








the fan radiator and unerbelly looked ok~~~ all the tabs were in place no real sign of damage or out of the ordinary

this is the air filter



did look somewhat dirty but you can always change the filter !!

all the fluids were checked engine oil was up to level, power steering and radiator fluid did seem alil dirty in the resorvoir but something
you can flush ~~

now to the interior

the trunk was clean and the wire looking thingy we saw from original pic from the ad were actully scented trees so dont worry about that



the sub was working and had the wires intact and did not notice any mods done to the wiring so was in original condition with tires

rear seat leather was clean but i guess from the pic u cann see alil mark that may have came from the seat being closed for a while.



the tpms sensor was on i guess uneven airpressure?



slight crack in leather by the driver seats but i have seen worst~~~~



if you know about the FX's Dreaded dash bubble u will know we all have had our dah warrantied! this vehicle had its dash replaced by the dealer but the job quality or it's colors do not match and had some signs of wear and tear already!





you can clearly see they difference in the dash vs passenger side doors color difference and the material differences. and there seems to be some type of oil mark by the fan outlets.

i think the detailers can chime in on this~~~~





the headliners and columns on this fx is grey but they were somewhat stained and dirty by the colums and around the edges of the sunroof area





the cup holder lid is broken and wont stay closed / also the holding unit that swivels up and down is also broken

as far as interior? i would give it a rating of 7 out of 10

i forgot to mention the biggest problem which i had discussed with the dealers also

the driver side seat adjuster does not work !!!! it goes up and down and swivels but the leg front to back switch does not work~!!!!!

this can cost somewhere from 800- 1500 for the assembly !!! there is a post in the forum that discusses this issue and i have fixed mine for like $50 dollars but the dealer willl charge an arm and a leg!!!!

pls speak to them they told me they will fix it but how can you double check ? im not sure~~~~

NOw the exterior !!!!

from a stand point of an enthusiat i would rate this at 7 of 10.

is it in its immaculate condition ? no !!!

but are there swirls minor scratches and couple chips? ! yes! good thing was there were not any visible dings!!!! ( of course today was dark alil snow and cold)!

took some pics of the exterior close up


chip here by front driver side headlight



tires were hankkok ventus and some decent treads left but no where near new. might get about a yr or so out of em.

2 of the passenger side rims had visible scratched on the rims. i guess from street parking in the city



small paint chip by the door edge of the driver rear door

minor scratches by the door handles ~~





alittle bit deeper scratches in the panels but nothing really major.


the biggest ding i found on the car

To sum it all up !!!! i rate this 7 out of 10

no major accidents that i can see from this car

had its share of wear and tear .....

windows work properly sunroof checked and trunk hatch works

all rubber molding look untamed and virgin ... no sign of repaint ....

the biggest issue is !!!!! once again the driver seat front to back motor broken so take that into consideration...

and deciding factor should be on your own i just tested the vehicle to examine what my ( non-pro ) eyes can see...

i checked the brakes and you may have about 30% inthe front and 20% in the rear ....

rear rotors were not too smooth



as a bonus this is my winter shoes that i test drove in

WOAH! what a review, thank you SO MUCH!


I see the biggest issue being that of the front seat, I WOULD expect the dealer to fix this. as well as the cup holder and the fog light, they should also replace the brakes. I will talk to them about all these issues. the paint issues, well in my mind it has 75,000 miles on it and its going to have some issues like that, i have a feeling a good buff job and the swirls and small scratches would be gone. the ding looks like a door ding.

Yes a good buff polish and wax shall do most of its trick

And i would also strongly recommend you do the carchex thingy
So you get a good solid review from a certified mechanic.

Also test drive the one in your area even if they are not the exact yr or color so you know what your getting ...

Alright I gave a dealer a call. talked to Esa the salesmen and he said they would cover replacment of the seat. and as well the car goes threw a extensive detail AND check of the brakes, tires all of that. anything that needs be replaced, its replaced. I do feel confident but still a bit ehhh do i really want to do this!? haha seems like a decent vehicle, what you all think?

I am for sure not preasured into buying it, but to be honest i think im going to. I like it, looks cool, I did drive an 03 and had no complaints other the the inside, i didnt like the older look of the dash and everything. Now with the TPMS, did you happen to look at the pressure monitors in the screen to see if there where any differences in pressure?
