Help with P0304 and oil consumption!

New to the IS forum. I've got an '04 FX35 AWD with about 150K miles.... recently I got a CEL with the P0304 code. Car was idling rough, and really lacked any power on acceleration. Replaced the #4 coil, and all 6 plugs, yet I still am getting the same code. I thought it may be due to a stored code in the ECU, but I deleted the stored code, and it popped up again shortly after.

Now Im wondering what else could be causing the problem... the plug in cylinder 4 looked like a "wet-foul" with oil deposits on the electrode and such. The car DOES run an accelerate much better, but Im wondering if its just due to the new plugs and a clean air filter. Any ideas on what else I could easily check to diagnose what is causing the CEL?

Also, when I pulled the #5 plug I noticed some oil on the plug and on the bottom of the coil, and could also see a small amount down by the cylinder. This can't be good, and I assume its a leaky head gasket, but I have no clue. The engine does burn/consume a fair amount of oil, and I assume this is directly related. Any ideas here? I'm fairly new to Infiniti's so any help/input would be greatly appreciated.

HELP ME MAKE THESE PROBLEMS GO AWAY! Thanks in advance.

In addition to checking the wire harness to coil #4, you may want to swap coil #4 with another one in the car just to verify if there any problem with the replacement coil. As for oil in the spark plug well, the gasket that seals the spark plug well is leaky. New replacement valve cover is needed to fix the leak.

Thanks for the info.....Ill have to check the wiring...on a scale of 1-10 how difficult would you say it is to replace the passenger side valve cover? Any good tutorials out there? I hate paying labor charges for something that can be done in my garage with basic tools. And, would you recommend buying a new plenum gasket if I do this?
