I hate to add another thread regarding using an ipod/iphone adapter in our vehicles, but I have been searching like crazy and am just confused.

I purchased a used 2007 FX35 with the six disc CD player (NON-nav). It already had a previously installed Neo Car Audio Systems PODNISV2 adapter installed. The adapter is in the glovebox and has a cord that attaches up at the radio. It then has two inputs. One is a cable that attaches directly to an ipod/iphone. The other are left/right RCA input jacks (and there is an adapter for the 1/8 stereo input jack.

I have attached both my ipod and a iphone 4 with zero success. From what I understand, you need to cycle the CD/DVD button to select this input, but I have been unsuccessful in getting any music through. I DON"T care about having anything on the screen. I really just want to play the music on my phone or stream Pandora.

Does anyone have any experience with this unit or a similar unit in a NON-nav vehicle?? How do I make it play?

PS: I contacted the manufacturer tech line and they were extremely unhelpful. They sent me generic instructions that were of no help.

It might be using the aux /sat button not cd button i believe
I have the isimple butthats how mine works
Also plug in the heaphones all the way without iphone case sometimes that creates a better connection
Hope it solves your problem

Thanks for the response.

After doing a little more reading online on various forums I found the following.

There are two types of adapters. One works with Nav, but hitting the Nav button (or Cat, etc).

The other one is for a NON-nav car like mine. You apparently cycle through the radio button to go from radio to CD to Ipod to Aux.

I suspect something is wrong with the unit and will likely just pick up another at this point and start over unless someone has specific experience with this early adapter and it's specific use in a NON-nav car.

Thanks!!!
