I hate to add another thread regarding using an ipod/iphone adapter in our vehicles, but I have been searching like crazy and am just confused.
I purchased a used 2007 FX35 with the six disc CD player (NON-nav). It already had a previously installed Neo Car Audio Systems PODNISV2 adapter installed. The adapter is in the glovebox and has a cord that attaches up at the radio. It then has two inputs. One is a cable that attaches directly to an ipod/iphone. The other are left/right RCA input jacks (and there is an adapter for the 1/8 stereo input jack.
I have attached both my ipod and a iphone 4 with zero success. From what I understand, you need to cycle the CD/DVD button to select this input, but I have been unsuccessful in getting any music through. I DON"T care about having anything on the screen. I really just want to play the music on my phone or stream Pandora.
Does anyone have any experience with this unit or a similar unit in a NON-nav vehicle?? How do I make it play?
PS: I contacted the manufacturer tech line and they were extremely unhelpful. They sent me generic instructions that were of no help.
