Help! Please! Infiniti has been hit!

Okay guys so I decided to drive into the city today, and I had parked at a parking garage. I left the car there for 7 hours and picked the car up. I had obviously inspected when I picked it up but I managed to some how miss my right side of the bottom bumper completely scratched. And I had only realized after I parked at home. I know that I am partially if not completely at fault for horribly examining the car, but I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation. Is there any hope in returning to the parking garage and making the review tapes caught on camera from me entering and leaving? I have my receipt. Please guys let me know. Damn I feel like such an Asshat .. Grrr

I would go back and bring it up to them first. Review the tapes too like what you mentioned. I bet they will deny it though.

goodluck bro!

Talk to the manager of the garage, once you leave, it's going to come down to how generous they feel.

I'm planning on going tomorrow after work, can't help but think that it'll be a lost cause :/ either they deny it like you said or they'll tell me to file a claim through small claims court which will take forever to be processed. Ah what the hell worth a try at this point right. Thank you guys for answering

So was it valet or just a garage? If it's a valet, you may have a case, but it will be very difficult to get them to accept responsibility. If it's just a parking garage and some random person hit you, it's going to be impossible. If the damage is enough, call your insurance. They take care of this all the time. I've been hit twice in parking lots where the other person left. Insurance covered both times under hit and run.

unless there was a camera pointing directly at your parked vehicle, don't waste your time with the parking management. they always have signs and disclaimers saying that they're not responsible for damage to parked vehicles. your only cause of action is to the person who caused the accident. without knowing exactly who did it, it's a lost cause.

Are you a regular at that garage? If you are, they are more likely to file a claim on your behalf. Otherwise, it's 50/50 if they'll help you since you left before pointing it out.

Yea I thought it through and decided not to go back. No I wasn't a regular , I usually park in a automatic elevator/vending machine style garage but it was at capacity. Thank you everyone who replied I appreciate it. Just something ill have to deal with on my own. Lesson learned. I'll got quoted for 250 for it be blended in from my good friends shop. It just sucks that they can easily get away with it and have no respect for others property.
