Help! Need To Find Strut Bearing?

Started to install Springs and new struts/shocks on my FX45, but when my friend and I took off the original struts/shocks, the strut bearing pretty much fell apart. Now I cannot locate a new one (no Infiniti dealer locally and Advance Auto doesn't have the part). Thought I would ask here before calling a dealer in Pittsburgh.

the bearing is wierd, it doesn't stay togeather at all even when it's fine... if you can find all of the BB's that came out, just clean them up & put them back in, put it back togeather & your fine... if your missing a couple that could be a problem though...
 
year you can find them infinitipartsusa.com I was told that if I was doing the strut swap with the kyb's that it was almost recommended to get a set and keep em handy just incase what happened to you happened.

Select the year and FX model and search strut. Look at the illustration, the item number 5 or 8 is the bearing you are looking for. Sorry the website is done while I am typing it. You can get it from the site, it will be cheaper than the dealership.

Just a note, when we opened this up, the passenger side was in tact, driver side fell apart, decided to replace both of them

i find that he usually hooks it up a lil more than the site price. Not a huge difference but he takes care of :iS: members
 
How big of a problem is this? The same thing happened to me last night, but my friend had closed the casing and I couldnt open it back up to put the bearings in. We ended up just puting it back on as it was. Is this something that I should address pretty quickly?

To make sure we are talking about the same thing.. I am referring to item 9
