Help me!!! Keys stolen

ok, follow closely! I live in the suburbs of chicago and i bought my 2004 fx35 this past summer. the fx is my baby and i rent out this old ladys garage in the winter to store it so no salt gets on it!!! its been sitting since the begining of december. i gave my good keys (regular key with my only remote) to my grandfather so he could go start it every once in a while as he lives with my mom not too far from the lady. So i woke up this morning to him calling me to tell me that he left his doors unlocked last night and someone broke into his car and stole his checkbook and my keys! I FEEL LIKE PUNCHING MY SCREEN RIGHT NOW!!! anyways, the police found his checkbook at a laundry-mat and my keys are still gone. so im probably going to just pull up my fx to my moms this weekend and stay in the backseat until they try going into my car.. then ultimately finding myself on the police blotter which is bad news.

UNLESS... my great friends at iS can help me with a solution because i really do not want to waste my time with hurting some 16 year old punk. I still have a warranty on my car so i cant just go put an aftermarket alarm on. although at the end of next summer i planned on it. part of buying an suv was to make it a sound car. ive been putting my stereo collection together for the past 3 years and i have a lot of money invested in it....like thousands. i wanted to do the install as soon as i got the car out of storage and now i dont know what to do. PLEASE HELP...

like im pretty sure you can reset the remote so it wont work?, but what about the keys... i dont even know what im saying. please help guys im tweakin hard!! :zip::uhhh::eeerr::eek::mad::frown::confused:
 
If you don't have a spare ikey then your only option is to buy another ikey from the dealer or on ebay and have the dealer reprogram the your fx to match the new ikey.
 
the guys arent getting into the car right now since its in storage.. and i have a spare. thats not the problem.. the problem is that these kids have keys to my car and i dont want them to go through it this summer when i pull it out of storage.... any thoughts..

anyone replace their locks/ignition or just locks? how bout shaved door handles???

oh, and its not an ikey or whatever.. its just the old school 2004 infiniti key and the seperate remote..
 
Reprogram remote controle and get new locks with set of keys. Used shouldn't be so expensive and the stolen key become useless.

ya thats what i was thinking, but still a pain in the ass and time consuming. not to mention its prolly not as cheap as id like it to be.. alright guys. thanks:k:

that wouldn't do anything. Aftermarket alarm will deactivate if they use the key.

unless the thief knows your exact car and its location, the likelihood of them going after your car might not be that high. I mean, it's got to be 1 in a million chance of them pressing the button on the remote close enough to your car to see it unlock/panic unless they're driving all over the city looking for it specifically.

see, after this semester ill be back at my moms all summer and its not like i dont go there... and my backyard is the high school so its a LOT easier to find my car than you think. and i have a feeling its the punks that live 3 or 4 doors down.. so the likelyhood is pretty good unless i move west coast faster than planned... maybe ill just invest in the flamethrower...:err:
