hello everyone,
I've been a car enthusiast for quite awhile now. My parental units have a qx70 3.7l awd that my father asked me to look into modifying for him. I've got some of the basics already picked out like exhaust and suspension and wheels. However he wants to hit a target of 400+ and get the 0-60 under 4 seconds. From what I understand from looking around so far is that the vq37vhr is placed in a bunch of different performance cars. So I believe this should be possible to make happen. However as i've always been more of a subi guy i'm not sure where I should be looking for parts specific to the car so that I can get proper fitment on the car. I was hoping to get recommendations from the community on what route I should take on performance parts so that it not only performs but is reliable enough to daily drive. For reference the car only gets driven a maximum of 10k a year usually hitting closer to 5k miles. I appreciate any help pointing me in the right direction to getting this started.

------TLDR-------

seeking to modify to 400+ with a 0-60 under 4 sec reliably
car is only driven 5-10k a year
recommendations on reliable websites for parts

You need yourself the 5.0 V8.

Otherwise there's supercharger kits that will get you to 400. Keep in mind the tranny is rated for something like 270 torque while the V8 model is rated for almost 400.

If you want to see 500, I imagine you'd need twin turbos. Probably 10-15k setup with tuning. Also budget to break some shit on your driveline.

Seems the fx50 , porche cayenne turbo, and amg ml63 would get you where you wanna be for cheaper.

Sounds like a very cool project. I highly doubt you can get this thing 0-60 in under 4 seconds given that the V8 is close to 400 hp and rated at 5.0 seconds 0-60 at best and probably will never see that figure in real world driving.
