I shut the engine down but tried it again. Each time it ran but with the same noise. I towed it to a shop that I knew. The owner said it needed a new engine. An on-line mechanic said it could be a worn timing chain. It’s sitting in my garage for a month now. Need to fix it reasonably or move it. I love the car but can’t put a lot of money in it. Otherwise it’s in great shape paint and body wise. Black shiny paint. Taupe interior. Bubbled dash. Some tare on both front seats. Anyone interested let me know. Thanks. George
